Quick Start: Simple Random Splits

Start with a simple "Random" split to learn the basics of the app. Discover our unique workflow that goes beyond mere sorting by visualizing groups graphically on an expansive canvas.

1. Launch the Application

   Access the application to open the main workspace.

2. Add Members

   The large central area is the Canvas, the primary workspace for editing. Select (Add Members) from the left toolbar, then click or tap anywhere on the canvas to place a member. Add multiple members to get started.
   

3. Edit Member Names

   Switch the toolbar mode back to (Select) and click or tap a member on the canvas. From the Property Menu that appears on the right, click (Rename) to rename the member.
   

4. Add Groups

   Select (Add Groups) from the toolbar and click anywhere on the canvas to place a group. The blank user icons inside the group represent "Seats" available for assignment. Add multiple groups to the canvas.
   

5. Edit Group Names

   Just like with members, select a group and use its Property Menu to change the group's name.

   

6. Adjust Group Capacity

   Select a group to modify its settings using either the Property Menu on its right or the Property Panel in the bottom-right corner:

   • (Add Seat): Increases the number of assigned member slots by one.
   • (Remove Seat): Decreases the number of assigned member slots by one.
   • (Layout): Changes the arrangement of seats to mirror real-world setups like actual table plans.
   

7. Execute Grouping

   Click or tap
   Make Groups
   in the top-right corner. The shuffled results will be rendered instantly on the canvas.
   
   
   The total number of members does not need to match the total number of seats. If there are more seats, empty spots will remain; if there are more members, some will remain unassigned.

8. Generate and Switch Between Multiple Results

   Click or tap
   Make Groups
   again to generate an alternative outcome. Each configuration is saved under the "Results" (Result History) row at the top of the canvas, allowing you to seamlessly switch between different versions. To modify member or group settings, you can return to the original edit screen by clicking
   Groups / Members
   .
   

9. Export the Layout

   Select your preferred result and click
   Output
   in the top-right toolbar to download the current canvas layout as an image.
